Senior Technical Adviser for HIV Care and Treatment for Right to Care

MBChB (UCT), Masters in Public Health (UWC), Diploma in HIV Management (CMSA), completing Postgraduate diploma in Health Science Education (Wits). Julia is medical doctor in the role of Senior Technical Adviser for HIV Care and Treatment for Right to Care NGO, based in South Africa. She is on the SA National Third Line ART Committee, the National Guideline Committee, Southern African HIV Clinicians Society (SAHCS) Guideline Committee and a number of National Technical Working Groups. She is a reviewer for the Paediatric Infectious Diseases Journal and Southern African Journal of HIV Medicine. She is passionate about training healthcare workers and has provided HIV and COVID related trainings throughout South Africa and in many other African countries. Her areas of interest include health care worker education, paediatric and adult HIV management, HIV resistance, adolescent disclosure, adherence, and programmatic aspects of HIV control.
