Dr Raquel Viana is an associate and the Scientific Head of Molecular Pathology at Lancet Laboratories, a private diagnostic pathology practice, in South Africa. She is dedicated to providing appropriate molecular testing solutions in infectious diseases and molecular oncology with a special focus in haematological oncology and HIV-1 testing strategies. She is tasked with overseeing clinical trial work performed within the department and has a passion for facilitating continuous education especially in the field of HIV resistance.
