Born and raised in Limpopo and now based in Pretoria, Girly Mathobela is a Registered Nurse with over a decade of dedicated clinical experience. She holds a Bachelor of Nursing Science from the University of Limpopo (formerly Medunsa)
and established a strong clinical foundation at Steve Biko Academic Hospital, where she served for nine years across specialised departments including the Labour Ward, Ophthalmology, Trauma and Emergency, and the Cardiothoracic Unit.
Over the years, she has intentionally expanded her career beyond bedside nursing into clinical facilitation. She holds certifications in Integrated Case Management, ICD-10 Coding, and Key Account Management, reflecting her commitment to both clinical excellence and healthcare systems efficiency. Currently, Girly works part-time as a clinical facilitator, agency nurse, and travelling service provider for Next Biosciences, delivering healthcare services across diverse clinical settings. Her work demonstrates adaptability, professionalism, and a consistent commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care in dynamic environments.
Deeply passionate about advancing the nursing profession beyond traditional roles, she has a growing interest in artificial intelligence in healthcare, innovation, and continuous professional development. Registered with the South African Nursing Council, Girly continues to position herself at the intersection of clinical expertise and forward-thinking healthcare practice.
