Relapsed Cryptococcal Meningitis
Relapse of an initially successfully treated infection contributes to this mortality and is often a clinical dilemma. We present an HIV-positive patient with a relapsing cryptococcal meningitis. 1 CPD is allocated.

Dr Sindile Ntuli
Clinical Microbiologist
Dr Sindile Ntuli is a clinical microbiologist with seven years of experience. She has completed her undergraduate training at MEDUNSA , after which she pursued a Masters in medicine (Medical Microbiology) at the University of Cape Town. She holds a Fellowship with the College of pathologist from CMSA. She is currently employed as a Microbiologist at Lancet laboratories. Apart from offering laboratory services in the private sector , Dr Ntuli is also affiliated with the University of Limpopo where she contributes to the training of medical students. She is passionate about infectious disease diagnosis and antimicrobial stewardship.
