Dr Mbilaelo Tshamiswe

Dr Mbilaelo Tshamiswe is a specialist paediatrician and the founder of Urangani Neurodevelopment Inc.
She holds a Master of Medicine in Paediatrics from the University of Limpopo and a postgraduate diploma in Child Health with a focus on Neurodevelopment from the University of the Witwatersrand.
Dr Tshamiswe's dedication to the field of neurodevelopment inspired her to establish the first paediatrician-led neurodevelopment clinic in Limpopo.
The Urangani Neurodevelopment Clinic specializes in managing conditions such as cerebral palsy, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, learning disorders, and other neurodevelopmental conditions.
Dr Tshamiswe is particularly committed to monitoring the development of children at risk of developmental delays, including those born prematurely, children with prolonged ICU admissions, and those who have undergone resuscitation for near-drowning, among other reasons.
Dr Tshamiswe is dedicated to helping children achieve their full potential and supporting families through expert advice grounded in recent scientific evidence. Through her parental coaching sessions, she assists families in overcoming parenting challenges that arise as children and families evolve.
Currently, Dr Tshamiswe practices full-time in the private sector at Crestcare Zoutpansberg Hospital, 47
Joubert Street, Louis Trichardt, and R243 Thohoyandou NHC.
Dr Tshamiswe is also a research associate at the University of Limpopo, serving on the School of Medicine Research Ethics Committee, and is passionate about mentoring colleagues in their academic pursuits.
She supervises Master of Medicine candidates at the University of Limpopo. Dr Tshamiswe has been recognized internationally for her resilience at the Women in Medicine Summit 2022 and received the Spirit of Medicine Award from the Limpopo Independent Practitioner in 2024.
